Linda on South Padre Island

I do a lot of training for district level folks in districts where AVID is being implemented. The last training was on South Padre Island in Texas. The location was beautiful, the participants were hard working. We managed to have a great time despite some intense work. Here are a few photos of our week on South Padre.

McMillan Fiesta October 13-14

The McMillans are hosting a Fiesta on October 13th. We have tried to send everyone we know an invitation but if somehow we've missed you please feel you are now being invited to join us for a day (or weekend) of music, dancing, food, friends and fiesta. Come when you can on Saturday and stay through breakfast on Sunday if you can. Please RSVP by phone: 805-238-4820 or e-mail and let us know if you are coming so we can have plenty of bbq and drink. We ask you to bring a salad or a dessert to share.

In lieu of gifts (it is my birthday fiesta) please feel free to stuff the collection jar full of cash to help Solar Rowanda -they will describe their project during the afternoon festivities.

Come one, call all...just RSVP!

Linda in Oaxaca

Posted by PicasaWhen we travel, which is as often as our work schedule allows, I like to roam through local stores and look for the most colorful artifacts of the region. The colors of the world are displayed in my home. The furnishings of my home are full of stories of the places and people of our travels over the years.

Welcome to the Flying M Ranch

When you drive up our driveway, about 2 miles of dirt road maintained by the county, you will arrive at our gate. If the gate is closed, ranch protocol is to close it as you enter.

We usually close the gate when we are not home or when our neighbors, the Twisselmans, are grazing cattle on the ranch. Usually the gate is open, so come on down the road and join us at the house.
